Description

KeyPad Plus Jeweller
Wireless keypad with touch buttons supporting authentication via Pass, Tag, and codes
Contactless control without reliability compromises
KeyPad Plus Jeweller provides seamless and secure management of an Ajax system. Control security modes, activate Night Mode, and manage specific groups with one device. KeyPad Plus supports Pass cards and Tag key fobs with virtually unhackable DESFire® chips, as well as various access codes. The device is connected wirelessly to a hub at a distance of up to 1,700 m1. The batteries last up to 3.5 years.
Two authentication methods
KeyPad Plus supports contactless access devices, such as Pass cards or Tag key fobs, as well as codes for user authentication. Access-related information is available in Ajax apps. All events, including user activity and authentication details, can be viewed in the app feed. The apps also allow admins to grant, revoke, restrict, or terminate access permissions to particular users in real time.
Pass card and Tag key fob
When someone uses the Pass card or the Tag key fob, it is recorded in the event feed of the Ajax app. The admin can revoke, restrict, or temporarily suspend the access rights at any time. Admins can also change users’ rights by expanding or restricting their access to particular groups.
Code
KeyPad Plus supports code types as follows:
- keypad code (one per keypad)
- personal code (individual codes for up to 200 users)
- codes for unregistered users (up to 99 codes)
- duress codes (one keypad code and up to 200 personal codes)

Complex sabotage protection
Tamper alarmUsers and a security company are notified when someone removes the keypad from the mounting panel. Also, the keypad is fixed with a screw from the bottom.
Data encryptionAll data the system stores and transmits is protected by a block cipher with a dynamic key. Encryption makes it extremely difficult to reprogram the keypad and replace or steal the data.
Data-rich notificationsThe Ajax system instantly notifies about alarms and events with informative notifications: security companies and users know exactly which device was triggered, when and where it happened.
Protection against spoofingThe hub checks the device’s unique parameters for authentication during each communication session. If any parameter fails the check, the hub ignores device commands.
Regular pollingThe device regularly exchanges data with the hub. The system controls each device state and reports if there is a malfunction or connection loss. Updating the statuses of devices depends on the Jeweller settings; the default value is 36 seconds. Regardless of the polling period, tamper alarms are sent instantly.
Communication failure detectionThe device regularly exchanges data with the hub. With minimal polling interval settings (3 data packages and 12 seconds), it takes only 36 seconds to identify communication loss and notify the security company and users about the incident. Additionally, the hub is controlled by the Ajax Cloud server, so each element of the system is supervised.
Protection against code guessing and use of third-party devicesKeyPad Plus is locked if an incorrect code is entered more than three times in a row within a minute. The keypad only responds to cards, key fobs, and smartphones authorized in the Ajax app, so controlling the system through a third-party access device is impossible.
Duress code and panic buttonIf the user is forced to disarm the system, they can use a duress code. After the code is entered, the keypad simulates disarming and simultaneously sends an alarm to the security company. Additionally, the user can press the panic button to send an alarm in case of a threat.
Pass card and Tag key fob copy protectionPass cards and Tag key fobs used for user authentication are equipped with DESFire® chips. Thanks to 128-bit encryption, the technology makes contactless access devices virtually unhackable.
Effortless installation and setupIt is easy to pair KeyPad Plus with a hub: all you need is to scan the QR code. No enclosure disassembly or battery installation required. PRO Desktop is available for professional monitoring.
